Abby
with a smile
Hello, my name is Abigail, but to the world, I am Abby — with a smile. I am a trained doula and currently pursuing certification as a Breastfeeding Specialist. My background includes Public Health with a focus on Maternal and Child Health, along with studies in Human Development and Psychology.
From a young age, I have always loved caring for babies and supporting families. Over the years, I have served in spaces connected to child development, pediatric care, early childhood education, and family support. After life took me on a different path for several years, my faith brought me back to my first love: birth work, motherhood support, and walking alongside families before, during, and after pregnancy.
As a mother myself, I understand how sacred, vulnerable, and life-changing this season can be. My heart is to provide steady, compassionate, and informed support so that every mother feels heard, respected, and cared for.
“Being heard and appropriately treated was the difference between life and death for me.”
— Serena Williams

My approach
Birth Philosophy
Bringing forth new life is a sacred and powerful experience — one that reflects purpose, strength, and transformation. Just as a flower blooms in the right environment, I believe every mother deserves to be surrounded by care that is gentle, nurturing, and sustaining throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
As a doula, my approach is centered on creating a space of peace, trust, and respect for the mother's experience. Every woman carries within her strength, intuition, and wisdom. While medical care plays an important role, a mother's voice, instincts, and lived experience are also worthy of honor.
Birth is not only physical — it is emotional, mental, and spiritual. In this sacred space, I offer a calm and grounding presence, providing encouragement, advocacy, education, and steady support. I listen without judgment, speak with intention, and help cultivate an environment where fear can be replaced with confidence and peace.
My goal is to ensure that every mother feels supported, respected, and empowered — never rushed, dismissed, or alone.
I also believe care does not end with birth. The postpartum season is a time of healing, adjustment, and continued nurturing. Through education, reassurance, practical support, and compassionate care, I walk alongside families as they settle into their new rhythm.
At Grace & Bloom Birth Care, my purpose is to serve with humility, intention, and love — honoring each family's journey while providing evidence-based guidance and heart-centered support.
